The states’ top ethics watchdog is stepping down. WMAY’s Patrick Pfingsten reports in his The Illinoize newsletter that Legislative Inspector General Mike McCuskey will resign his position effective September 30th.
The Legislative Ethics Commission sent out an email announcing that the position of Legislative Inspector General is now vacant.
McCuskey had been embroiled in accusations that he had behaved unprofessionally and was not helpful toward women complaining of sexual harassment.
McCuskey was accused of breaching confidentiality with complainants and inaccuracy in reporting.
