A teenager is dead after being struck by a car on Monday night in Pana.
The Christian County Coroner’s Office said the 13-year-old boy died at the scene after 9:30 pm in the 500 block of South Poplar Street.
The coroner’s office said a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by a 16-year-old girl stopped before pulling away slowly as the boy tried to re-enter the vehicle and was struck. The vehicle stopped immediately.
No injuries were reported to the driver or a 16-year-old passenger. An investigation continues.
