A forensic pathologist testified on Tuesday in a Logan County murder trial that 19-month-old Sophia Davis died from natural disease and not from blunt force trauma.

Dr. Jane Turner was a defense witness in the trial of 24-year-old Cierra Coker. Turner testified that Sophia’s case was complex since the girl had a history of hospital visits since she was five weeks old.

The defense is expected to conclude its case today.
