An organization has been formed to implement recommendations from the Massey Commission.
Former Massey Commission staff and members announced formation of the Massey Community Action Network on Monday, the second anniversary of the shooting death of Sonya Massey by then-sheriff’s deputy Sean Grayson in her Springfield home.
A release describes the network as an “independent community entity.” Organizers said the network’s first year will include securing funding as well as expanding community education, strengthening partnerships and establishing systems to measure progress.
