Painting begins Monday on bridges carrying Interstate 72 over railroad tracks and east of the Wabash Avenue interchange in Springfield.
The Illinois Department of Transportation reports lane closures will be necessary and motorists can expect delays.
Work is expected to be completed at the beginning of July.
