A Springfield man accused of hiding his wife’s body and collecting her welfare benefits has pleaded guilty.
Court records show 59-year-old Adam Corbin pleaded guilty on Friday to concealment of a death, abuse of a corpse and possession of a weapon by a felon.
Prosecutors said Corbin hid the body of Nancy Corbin in a waste container after she died.
The investigation began after police were asked to check on the welfare of the woman in November 2025.
Sentencing is scheduled for November 6.
