More than 34,000 pounds of food is arriving today at Central Illinois Foodbank from a nationwide program of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The foodbank said the delivery is one of 250 truckloads of food distributed across the nation as part of the church’s America Gives initiative commemorating the country’s 250th anniversary.
Central Illinois Foodbank distributes more than 8 million meals annually through a 21-county region.
