A Lincoln woman has been found guilty of first-degree murder for the death of her boyfriend’s 19-month-old daughter.
A jury deliberated about two hours on Thursday before returning the verdict against 24-year-old Cierra Coker.
An autopsy determined Sophia Davis died from a brain injury caused by blunt force in February 2022.
Coker’s first trial last year resulted in a mistrial when the jury deadlocked. Coker’s sentencing is scheduled for October 6.
