We were happy to present two Scholar Athlete of the Year Awards this year, one to a female and one to a male student athlete. This award recognizes college-bound high school seniors who standout academically and in sports. The winners of this award not only demonstrate excellence in both the classroom and on the field, but their extracurricular endeavors and volunteerism also make them positive models for their peers.

The 2026 Female Scholar Athlete of the Year is Angelina Ippolito of South Fork High School. Angelina is the valedictorian of her class with a 4.08 GPA. She was a four-year member of the basketball and volleyball team while also participating in softball and track for a year. She was also involved in National Honor Society, student council, a captain of the basketball team and completed 33 college credit hours while at South Fork. Angelina plans to play basketball at Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa and has been accepted into their pre-physical program as she plans to become a physical therapist.
