A Springfield man was arrested after he was stabbed during an altercation in a South Douglas Avenue apartment on Friday morning.
The Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office reported on Monday that 18-year-old Marcello Scott suffered a non-life-threatening injury.
Detectives said Scott forced his way into the apartment and battered an 18-year-old woman who was seven months pregnant.
The office said the woman used a small kitchen knife to defend herself. Deputies found Scott at a nearby business. He was treated at a local hospital and taken to the Sangamon County Jail.
