A Springfield youth died when an SUV crashed at about midnight Monday morning in McLean.
Illinois State Police said the 13-year-old boy was a passenger in the vehicle that crashed on Route 136 at Interstate 55.
McLean County Coroner Kathleen Yoder said her office was called to Carle BroMenn Medical Center at about 1:30 am on a report that the boy had died.
Another person was injured. Further details were not available. The crash is under investigation.
